Madrid, Spain — September 12, 2025
Zimbabwean-born author Alice Vye Henningway is set to captivate Madrid with the presentation of her acclaimed debut novel, Nyika, I Love You. The event will take place at C. de Moratín 7, Centro Madrid at 20:00 hours, promising an evening of literature, dialogue, and cultural exchange.
Since its release, Nyika, I Love You has resonated with readers worldwide. Praised for its emotional depth and lyrical storytelling, the novel explores themes of belonging, cultural identity, and resilience. Henningway’s literary journey has been nothing short of remarkable — from self-publishing in 2022 to critical acclaim, international press events, and the announcement of a film adaptation with Market Street Productions.
In Madrid, Henningway will be joined on stage by Lovelyn Mashave, who will moderate the evening. Lovelyn, also Zimbabwean, is a multidisciplinary strategist helping small businesses, startups, and personal brands elevate their voice and presence in new markets.
With expertise spanning content strategy, brand consulting, marketing, PR, event coordination, and writing, she brings clarity, creativity, and results to every project. Known for her thoughtful leadership and impact-driven approach, she is equally at home guiding strategy behind the scenes or moderating conversations on stage.
Together, Henningway and Mashave will offer attendees a rare opportunity to explore not only the creative process behind Nyika, I Love You but also the broader conversations it inspires about culture, identity, and storytelling across borders.
The event will take place at C. de Moratín 7, Centro Madrid, in the heart of the city’s historic Barrio de las Letras(Literary Quarter). This vibrant neighborhood, once home to Spain’s greatest writers including Cervantes and Lope de Vega, has long been a hub for creativity, conversation, and cultural exchange. Hosting the presentation of Nyika, I Love You in this storied part of Madrid underscores the novel’s global resonance and its place within a long tradition of world literature.
