With the excitements of Halloween and Guy Fawkes behind us, November can be a dull month. Who better to add some sparkle to dreary days than UK visitor Bertie Pearce? Bertie is an expert lecturer on art but he is also an award winning magician.
On Tuesday evening 24 November he will give a lecture on the history of Punch and Judy to the Benahavis Art Society BDFAS. We may despair of the cruelty of the anarchic Punch yet his wit and vitality has inspired opera ballet and even punk rock.
The following day Bertie will star at a Magic Lunch at Los Arqueros Golf Club. He will begin by giving a cabaret show then circle the individual tables beguiling his audience at close range with his magic tricks.
Be prepared to be spellbound. Bertie has a BA Honours degree in Drama, is a Gold Member of the Magic Circle and has two Awards for Originality. His love of people and performance create an immediate rapport with his audience. Expect fireworks.
