Bernard Aubertin exhibition 4 November 2017
Born on July 29th, 1934 in Fontenay-aux-Roses, France, Aubertin started his life as a monochrome painter in 1957, after meeting Yves Klein, by creating his first “rouge total”.
With his works, Aubertin offers his nihilistic vision of art, that should not be descriptive but contemplative. Through monochromy, Aubertin created what he described as the silence of painting. In 1961 he joined the group “Zero” in Dusseldorf.
In collaboration with the Italian art gallery Toro Arte Contemporáneo, we are pleased to invite you to this event and to celebrate art with us.
